Rolec is a leading specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of electric vehicle charging stations, hook up and lighting products for holiday homes, caravans and residential parks, plus outdoor electrical installations such as power boxes and street posts. The company, established in 1990, employs around 100 staff across its office, showroom, warehouse and factory complex.
Telecom Central had provided refurbished handsets and support for Rolec’s existing NEC system as the business grew, but eventually the system needed updating. The company had outgrown the platform and required new functionality to support its growth targets.
Problems included heavy call volumes handled by the receptionist, lost calls, poor customer service, and weak internet connectivity. Telecom Central won the project by proposing a cost-effective solution with ongoing savings and hands-on support, then completed a more comprehensive survey and install. Improvements included better call handling and routing, direct calls to staff, and enhanced voicemail services with voicemails sent to mobiles for remote staff.
